Ramya who is known as ‘Sandalwood Queen’ in Kannada film industry on Sunday visited the sets of Dhananjay’s 25^th film ‘Hoysala’ being directed by Vijay Nagendra.

Ramya was one of the most sought after actress in Sandalwood in the last decade. She made her debut with Puneeth Rajkumar’s ‘Abhi’ and went on to act in more than 20 films with all the top stars of the Kannada film industry. Her last film was ‘Aryan’ starring Shivarajkumar. After that, she made a foray into politics to become a Member of Parliament from the Mandya Lok Sabha Constituency.

The actress has taken a hiatus from acting in films for the last few years. Though Ramya has been seen in a few filmy events in the last few months, she has stayed away from acting in films. There is news that she would be making a comeback to acting soon. But the actress has not announced officially about her comeback to films.

Meanwhile, the actress has surprised her fans by visiting the sets of ‘Hoysala’. Already there are speculations amongst her fans that the actress might be making a comeback with the Dhananjay starrer. However, Ramya nor Karthik Gowda of KRG Studios has confirmed that the actress is making a comeback. Sources say, Ramya just paid a casual visit to the sets. Dhananjay, Prathap Narayan, Amrutha Iyengar and others were present during the occasion.

‘Hoysala’ is a cop thriller set in the border district of Belgaum. Dhananjay plays a cop and the film is said to be based on some real incidents. Amrutha Iyengar is the female lead. Vijay Nagendra has scripted the film apart from directing it.
