The speculations about who would be the antagonist of Prabhas starrer ‘Salaar’ has finally come to an end. The team has officially announced that Jagapathi Babu will be playing the villain’s role in the film.

Earlier, there were speculations about who would be portraying the villain against Prabhas in the film. Names of Vijay Sethupathi, Bollywood actor John Abraham had cropped up, but the team was mum about the selection of the antagonist in the film. Now, the team has disclosed on Monday that Jagapathi Babu will be playing the role of Rajamanaar and has also released his first look.

Jagapathi Babu has thanked the team for giving an opportunity to act in the film and said that this is the best of his worst look ever. The actor has said that he has fell in love with himself. ‘Really excited to give my best with the help of Prashanth Neel’ tweeted Jagapathi Babu.

‘Salaar’ is being produced by Vijay Kumar Kiragandur under Hombale Films and directed by Prashanth Neel. The film stars Prabhas, Shruthi Hassan, Jagapathi Babu and others in prominent roles. ‘Salaar’ is a PAN-Indian film with Ravi Basrur’s music and Bhuvan Gowda’s cinematography.

The film was supposed to release on the 14^th of April 2022. However, with ‘KGF 2’ releasing on the same date, the film is likely to be pushed further.
