Actor-producer Dhananjay has clarified that his 25th film as a hero ‘Hoysala’ which was supposed to release on the 01st of November has been postponed to 2023 and the new release date would be announced later.
The year 2022 will see five to six films of Dhananjay release back to back. ’21 Hours’ has already been released. The release dates of ‘Bhairagee’ (July 01st), ‘Monsoon Raga’ (August 05th) and ‘Once Upon a Time in Jamaligudda’ (September 09th) and Hoysala (November 01st) were announced previously.
Recently, the release date of ‘Head Bush’ (October 21st) was also announced. With ‘Head Bush’ releasing on October 21st and ‘Hoysala on November 01st, fans of Dhananjay were very happy that they could watch two of the actor’s films in a span of 10 days.
However, the actor has said that the release of ‘Hoysala’ has been pushed to next year and the film will be probably the first one of Dhananjay to hit the screens in 2023.

‘Hoysala’ was announced on the occasion of Sankranthi this year. The film went on floors recently in Kanteerava Studios in a simple event. The launch was attended by Vijay Kumar Kiragandur of Hombale Films, Dhananjay, Amrutha Iyengar, Nagabhushan, Rohith Padaki and others. Though the film has been launched, the shooting is yet to start. Dhananjay who was busy with the completion of ‘Head Bush’ is likely to start work on ‘Hoysala’ soon.
‘Hoysala’ is a cop thriller set in the border district of Belgaum. Dhananjay plays a cop and the film is said to be based on some real incidents. Amrutha Iyengar is pairing up with Dhananjay for the third time after ‘Popcorn Monkey Tiger’ and ‘Badava Rascal’.
‘Hoysala’ is produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj under KRG Studios. This is their second film with Dhananjay after the last year’s hit ‘Ratnan Prapancha’. The film is being written and directed by Vijay Nagendra and S S Thaman is the music composer.
