It’s been almost a year since Rishab Shetty’s ‘Bell Bottom 2’ was launched. However, the shooting of the film is yet to start and this has kept many wondering whether the film will continue or has been shelved?

‘Bell Bottom 2’ is not a continuation to ‘Bell Bottom’, but a different story with the same characters. The film was launched in the last week of January 2021. Puneeth Rajkumar had come to the launch and wished the team a huge success. Director Jayatheertha had said that the film will go on floors in April. However, it’s been a year since the film was launched, but there is no news about the film.

While, Rishab Shetty has completed ‘Harikathe Alla Girikathe’ and is busy with ‘Kanthara’, Jayatheertha is busy with the release of his other film ‘Banaras’. There is no official statement from the production house whether the film will continue or will be shelved.

Most of the characters in ‘Bell Bottom’ including of Rishab Shetty, Haripriya, Achyuth Kumar, Shivamani, Sujay Shastry and others are supposed to be continuing in the second part also, with Tanya Hope joining the star cast. As usual, the story is set in the 1980s and the film will be in retro style.

Jayatheertha had said that the film will be double to ‘Bell Bottom’ in terms of quality, entertainment, budget and twists and the fans had pinned a lot of hopes on the film.

But as there is no news of the film even after a year of launch, fans are disappointed and are looking forward for an update from the team.
