Sandalwood actor and superstar Puneeth Rajkumar (46) on Friday breathed his last today due to a massive heart attack.

Puneeth Rajkumar who worked out in gym on Friday morning complained of chest pain. He immediately contacted his family doctor Dr Ramana Rao and the doctor advised him to have a thorough checkup at the Vikram Hospital in Bangalore.

Puneeth along with his family rushed to the Vikram Hospital, but sources say he was brought dead to the hospital. By 2 PM on Friday, the demise of Puneeth was officially announced.

The mortal remains of the late actor have been kept at the Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium. Puneeth will be cremated on Sunday at the Kanteerava Studio.
