The news of ‘Golden Star’ Ganesh and writer-director Preetham Gubbi joining hands for a new film were making the rounds for quite some time. Now the makers have finally announced the project with a new poster on the occasion of Ugadi festival. The film has been titled as ‘Baanadariyalli’ and is derived from a very famous song of Puneeth Rajkumar.
Ganesh has also shared the poster of the film through social media, wishing everybody a Happy Ugadi. The poster reveals that the film has an African connection to it.
This is his fourth collaboration with Preetham Gubbi. Preetham had earlier directed Ganesh’s ‘Maleyali Jotheyali’, ‘Dil Rangeela’ and ‘99’. Preetham was working on the project for the last two years and has finally announced the film.
‘Baandariyalli’ is an adventure film and this is the first time that the actor is trying his hand in this genre. The story of the film is written by cinematographer Preetha Jayaraman and Preetham has written the screenplay. The shooting will span in places like Bangalore, Mangalore, Varanasi and other places. The film will also be shot in one foreign location.
As of now Preetham has completed the script work and is busy with the pre-production stages of the film. Preetham’s regulars like music director V Harikrishna and editor Deepu S Kumar will be working for this film also. Abhilash Kalathi is the cinematographer. Ganesh has completed ‘Gaalipata 2’ and ‘Tribble Riding’ and is currently busy with ‘Golden Gang’ which is being aired in Zee Kannada.
