Ganesh starrer ‘Gaalipata 2’ being directed by Yogaraj Bhatt is doing roaring business across Karnataka. The film is expected to have collected 15 plus crores in just three days and is marching ahead.

‘Gaalipata 2’ was released on 12^th August (Thursday) in Karnataka and overseas. The film got a good opening from the first show itself across the state. Though the film is not a great one, the film has struck the audience with its comic and emotional elements. The songs, acting and making are much appreciated by the audience and this mouth publicity has helped the film a lot.

Moreover, there is no competition from other films. Though big films like ‘Ravi Bopanna’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ has been released with ‘Gaalipata 2’, the others have proved to be disasters at the box-office. With ‘Gaalipata 2’ getting good appreciation from the audience, the film is having a good time at the box-office. The film is recording houseful shows in the last three days and the collection in 300 plus theaters across the state is said to be more than 15 crores. This is just a gross collection and at the end of the first week, the producer is expected to get a cool profit of 10 crores after lessening the theater rent, commission and other expenditure.

‘Gaalipata 2’ is the fourth collaboration of Ganesh and director Yogaraj Bhatt after ‘Mungaru Male’, ‘Gaalipata’ and ‘Mugulu Nage’. The film stars Ganesh, Diganth, ‘Lucia’ Pavan Kumar, Ananth Nag, Sharmila Mandre, Vaibhavi Shandilya, Nishvika Naidu, Rangayana Raghu and others in prominent roles.

 ‘Gaalipata 2’ is produced by Ramesh Reddy under Suraj Productions. Arjun Janya is the music director, while Santhosh Rai Pathaje is the cinematographer.
