Karnataka’s former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has acted himself in a new film called ‘Tanuja’. Yediyurappa participated in the shooting on Saturday.
‘Tanuja’ is a film based on some real incidents occurred when B S Yediyurappa was the Chief Minister of the State. A girl called Tanuja expressed her inability to write NEET Exams during the Covid period. It was renowned Editor Vishweshwara Bhatt of ‘Vishwavani’ newspaper and Pradeep Eshwar who brought the incident to Government’s notice and helped her to travel 350 Kms to write the exams. This incident grabbed the headlines two years back and ‘Tanuja’ is being made based on this incident.

Yediyurappa who played a pivotal role in helping Tanuja writing the exams is playing his role in the film. Vishweshwara Bhatt was also present during the shooting on Saturday.
Earlier, Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar had also acted in the film. Now Yediyurappa has also joined the star cast hereby strengthening the film.
‘Tanuja’ is being produced by Beyond Vision Cinemas and is written and directed by Harish M D Halli. Saptha Pavooru who played a prominent role in ‘Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shaale’ directed by Rishab Shetty is playing the protagonist in the film.
Apart from Saptha, Rajesh Nataranga, Kailash, Sandhya Arakere and others play prominent roles in the film. Ravindranath is the cinematographer, while Pradyottan is in charge of music.
