For the first time in the history of ‘Bigg Boss’, a contestant has been arrested for the possession of Tiger claws and sent to judicial custody midway during the season.
Varthur Santhosh who is one of the contestants in the 10th season of ‘Bigg Boss Kannada’ was arrested by the forest department for wearing a tiger claw locket. An FIR was filed based on this, which led the forest officials to his arrest.
Selling or purchasing tiger nails is against the law and the contestant was seen wearing the locket during the show. Based on the complaint, the forest department officials reached Bigg Boss house late on the 22nd of October and conducted an examination. After that the officials confirmed that they were genuine tiger claws and took over Santhosh to their custody.
Varthur Santhosh is said to have got the Tiger claws a few years ago. This is said to be a violation of the Wildlife Protection Act 1972. Santhosh was produced before the magistrate after which he has been sent to Judicial Custody for 14 days.
‘Bigg Boss’ was launched two weeks and Snake Shyam and Gowrish Akki were eliminated in the next two weeks.
