Jayatheertha’s new film ‘Banaras’ is all ready for release. Meanwhile, the first video song of the film called ‘Mayagange’ was released in a special event held in Bangalore on Monday night.

Well known politician and Chamarajpet MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan’s son Zaid Khan is making his debut as a hero with ‘Banaras’. Speaking during the launch of the first song of his debut film ‘Banaras’, the actor said producer Tilakraj Ballal is like a backbone to him. ‘When I wanted to become an actor, nobody from my family supported me. He stood beside me. He talked to my family. He took me to Mumbai. He made me join an acting Institute. After coming back, he has produced a film to me. He is my godfather’ says Zaid.

The shooting for ‘Banaras’ completed a few months back and the film is all set to hit the screens soon. Meanwhile, the team has kick started the promotions of the film by launching the first video song of the film called ‘Mayagange’. Abhishek Ambarish, Vinod Prabhakar, Yashas Surya and others were present at the occasion.

‘Mayagange’ features Zaid Khan and Sonal Monteiro and is composed by Ajaneesh Lokanath. Armaan Malik has sung the song and the song has been released in Lahari Music channel of You tube.

‘Banaras’ stars Zaid along with Sonal, Sujay Shastry, Devaraj, Achyuth Kumar and others in prominent roles. Jayatheertha has written the story and screenplay, apart from directing the film. ‘Banaras’ which started off as a Kannada film is now a PAN Indian film and is releasing in five languages simultaneously.
