Exclusive: Darshan’s ‘D56’ likely to be titled as ‘Kaatera’

Kannada, News

‘Challenging Star’ Darshan is busy shooting for his latest film ‘Kranti’ in Polland. Meanwhile, there is news that his forthcoming film ‘D56’ to be directed by Tharun Sudhir has been titled as ‘Kaatera’.

After ‘Robert’, Tharun Sudhir was supposed to direct a historical film for Darshan to be produced by Umapathy Srinivas Gowda. However, the film will not be made because of a big drift between Darshan and Umapathy Srinivas Gowda for various reasons. Later it was announced that Tharun will be directing Darshan in a new film to be produced by senior producer Rockline Venkatesh.

The first theme poster of the film which was tentatively titled as ‘D56’ was launched during Darshan’s birthday earlier this year. The theme poster showcases a guard dog leading a flock of sheep. Though nothing much has been revealed about the film, the poster subtly tells that Darshan plays a savior who protects the downtrodden. The makers have announced in the poster that the film will be based on some real incidents.

The shooting for the film will start later this year, once Darshan completes ‘Kranti’. Meanwhile, Tharun is busy with the pre-production of the film and has locked in the title ‘Kaatera’ for the film. However, the makers have not officially announced the title and an official announcement is expected after the completion of ‘Kranti’. ‘Kaatera’ will be Darshan and Tharun’s third film together after ‘Chowka’ and ‘Robert’.
