‘There was a time when I went to Mumbai for the first time; the people there didn’t exactly know what South India is except Madras. They didn’t know the existence of Hyderabad or other places. Then came a time, when Kannada was not known much in Telugu film industry also. Kannada was considered a small industry. Then came a time, when a Mumbai distributor called me and asked me how far is Kannada from Hyderabad? They even didn’t known that Kannada is a language. Today we are in a time when the entire country and the world are talking about the Kannada film industry. It is something which every Kannadiga has to be very much proud of’ said Ram Gopal Varma.

RGV congratulated Prashanth and Yash for taking Kannada cinema to another level. ‘My heartiest congratulations for making this extraordinary miracle happen to both Prashanth Neel and Yash. Suddenly everybody’s eyes are on the Kannada film industry. It’s a great opportunity for the highly talented stars and filmmakers here to keep pushing the limits. It’s highly inspirational regarding ‘KGF 2’’ said the acclaimed director.
