The Telugu remake of Bollywood hit ‘Andhadhun’, ‘Maestro’ is all set to stream in Disney Hotstar this month. Meanwhile, the film’s Malayalam remake will also have a direct OTT release. This time, the film will stream in October in Amazon Prime.
Off late, Prithviraj’s films have been releasing directly in OTT instead of the theatrical release because of the pandemic. Amazon Prime India has acquired the digital rights of Prithviraj’s ‘Cold Case’ and ‘Kuruthi’ in the recent months and the films have been streaming online. Now, ‘Bhramam’ has also joined the bandwagon of Prithviraj’s new films to be directly released in Amazon Prime.
Prithviraj plays the role of pianist who fakes being blind in ‘Bhramam’. Raashi Khanna, Mamta Mohandas, Unni Mukundan and others play prominent roles in the film. Ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran has directed the movie apart from handling the cinematography. Jakes Bejouy is the music director, while Sreekar Prasad is the editor.
The film was launched in January this year and was wrapped up in March. The film is produced by AJ International. Apart from Telugu and Malayalam, Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Andhadhun’ is also being remade in Tamil as ‘Andhagan’.
