Dhanya Ramkumar granddaughter of Dr Rajkumar, who made her debut with ‘Ninna Sanihake’ directed by Suraj Gowda is back with ‘Kaala Patthar’. She plays the female lead opposite Vicky Varun in this film.

‘Kala Patthar’ was announced last year itself. The film was supposed to be directed by debutante Chethan. Actress Apoorva of ‘Apoorva’ fame was roped in as the heroine. However, due to various reasons the director, heroine and producers were changed now Vicky himself has directed the film, while Dhanya has stepped in as the female lead.

Dhanya plays a village belle called Ganga in this film. She has already completed her portions and is looking forward for the release of the film.

Dhanya’s debut film ‘Ninna Sanihake’ also had the lead actor Suraj directing the film. Earlier, Suman Jaadugar was supposed to direct the film. However, due to an accident, Suraj stepped in as the director. The same thing has repeated in Dhanya’s second film ‘Kala Patthar’ also. Vicky was only supposed to act as the main lead, but had to step in as the director at the last minute. ‘

Kala Patthar’ is written by Satyaprakash of ‘Rama Rama Re’ fame. Anoop Seelin has composed the music, while Sandeep Kumar is the cinematographer. The film which has been shot in many places in North Karnataka is jointly produced by Nagaraj and Suresh.
