Actor Dhananjay who is riding high on the success of his latest film ‘Badava Rascal’ has signed yet another film. The film has been titled as ‘Hoysala’ and has been officially announced with a first look poster on the occasion of Sankranthi.

‘Hoysala’ is a milestone in Dhananjay’s career, as it is his 25^th film as an actor. Dhananjay made his debut as an actor through Guruprasad’s ‘Director Special’. Though his debut film was an average at the box-office, Dhananjay got noticed for his menacing looks and performance. After a lot of ups and downs, Dhananjay has now become one of the most sought after actors of Kannada film industry.

The film is being produced by Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj under KRG Studios who had earlier produced Dhananjay’s ‘Ratnan Prapancha’. The film which was directed by Rohith Padaki was released directly on OTT and the film was much appreciated by the audience. Now KRG Studios has announced their second film and will be directed by Vijay Nagendra who had earlier directed Ganesh’s ‘Geetha’.

‘Hoysala’ is a cop thriller set in the border district of Belagaum. Dhananjay plays a cop who fights against all odds in this film. The film is said to be based on some real incidents. The shooting for the film starts from April and will be held mostly in Belgaum and other places in North Karnataka.

South India’s most sought after music composer S S Thaman who had earlier composed music for Puneeth Rajkumar’s ‘Yuvaratna’ will be composing the music for this film.

The film is expected to release during the Rajyotsava season this year.
