The crisis regarding theaters sharing between Puneeth Rajkumar’s ‘James’ and S S Rajamouli’s directorial ‘RRR’ has finally been solved in Karnataka. ‘James’ will be continuing in 280 plus theaters in its second week, while ‘RRR’ gets more than 120 theaters across Karnataka.

Earlier, this week there was a crisis regarding the sharing of theaters between the two biggies. ‘James’ was released in approximately 400 theaters in Karnataka on March 17th. ‘RRR’ is scheduled on the 25th of March, just a week after ‘James’ release. The film’s producer Kishore Pathikonda accused that many of the theaters which are screening ‘James’, have been hijacked by ‘RRR’.

Kishore Pathikonda along with actor Shivarajkumar met the Chief Minister on Thursday morning regarding the issue. The Chief Minister in turn called up the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Jairaj and told him to look up to the issue immediately. A meeting was held at the KFCC on Thursday afternoon and there it was concluded that ‘James’ will continue its run in 280 theaters in second week, with ‘RRR’ getting 120 plus theaters across Karnataka.

‘James’ is the last full fledged film by Puneeth Rajkumar before his demise on the 29th of October last year. Puneeth had almost completed his portions for the film except for the dubbing. Finally, Puneeth’s brother and actor Shivarajkumar dubbed his voice. The film which was released on Puneeth’s birthday on March 17th got a huge opening and broke many records of Kannada film industry including the first film to join the 100 crore club in just four days.

The film which is written and directed by Chethan Kumar stars Priya Anand, Sadhu Kokila, Srikanth, Sharath Kumar, Anu Prabhakar and others in prominent roles.
