Former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa recently acted in a film called ‘Tanuja’ in a guest role. Now Minister of Co-operation, S T Somashekhar is also seen in a guest role in Yogaraj Bhatt’s new film ‘Garadi’. The film is produced by his colleague, Agriculture Minister and actor B C Patil.

S T Somashekhar on Sunday participated in the shooting at the G V Iyer Studios in Bangalore. The minister plays the role of Somanna in the film.

Talking about his role, ‘This is the second film that I have acted. I just acted in this film because of B C Patil. He wanted me to that particular role. He insisted that I act in the film and I could not say no to him’ said Somashekhar.

The shooting for ‘Garadi’ is in progress from last few days and Yogaraj Bhatt has shot some important scenes for the film.  The film tells the story of Phailwans and traditional gyms of Karnataka which are called Garadis. The film will be shot in Northern parts of Karnataka including Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal. Vikas and Yogaraj Bhatt have jointly written the screenplay for this film.

Apart from Yashas Surya and Sonal Monteiro, ‘Challenging Star’ Darshan along with B C Patil will also be playing prominent roles in the film. V Harikrishna is the music director, while Niranjan Babu is the cameraman.
