‘Big Boss’ winner Shine Shetty has joined the team of Prajwal starrer ‘Mafia’ and the actor will be playing a prominent role in the film. Shine will be joining the sets of the film from Thursday.

After ‘Big Boss’, Shine is slowly bagging good roles in Sandalwood. He was seen as Puneeth Rajkumar’s friend in ‘James’, which was released on Puneeth’s birthday. He is also said to play a prominent role in Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara’. Now Shine has bagged an important role of Prajwal’s friend in ‘Mafia’. He is said to bring in a major twist to the film.

‘Mafia’ is being released in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil simultaneously and the first glimpse of the film was released in three languages a few months back. The team started shooting for the film in February and has completed half of the film. Now the second and final schedule of the film will be starting from Thursday and the makers intends to complete the film by July end in one schedule.

‘Mafia’ tells the story of a mafia which has not been highlighted so far in the films. Prajwal Devaraj plays the role of a rough and tough Inspector who fights against this Mafia. His real life father plays the role of the Commissioner in the film. Apart from the father-son duo, Aditi Prabhudeva, Sadhu Kokila, ‘Orata’ Prashanth and others play prominent roles in the film.

The film is written and directed by Lohith, who had earlier directed ‘Mummy – Save Me’ and ‘Devaki’. Kumar B is the producer.
