Actor-director Rishab Shetty has said that the sequel to his super hit film ‘Bell Bottom’ is not shelved and the film was delayed due to various reasons. The actor says the shooting for the film will start soon.
‘Bell Bottom 2’ was launched in January 2021. Puneeth Rajkumar had come for the launch of the film. The shooting for the film was supposed to start by April. However, the film got delayed for more than one year making everyone wonder whether the film has been shelved? Now Rishab has clarified that the shooting for the film will start soon.
‘The film was supposed to start last year itself. However, the film got delayed due to lockdown. By the time the lockdown was over, I was busy with ‘Kantara’. Director Jayatheertha completed ‘Banaras’ and is now busy completing ‘Kaiva’. In a couple of months, we both will be free and will start ‘Bell Bottom 2’’ says Rishab.
‘Bell Bottom 2’ is not a continuation to ‘Bell Bottom’, but a different story with the same characters. Most of the characters in ‘Bell Bottom’ including of Rishab Shetty, Haripriya, Achyuth Kumar, Shivamani, Sujay Shastry and others will be continuing in the second part also, with Tanya Hope joining the star cast.
The film is set in the 1980s and the film will be in retro style. T K Dayanand who scripted the original, has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Ajaneesh Lokanath is the music composer.
