Well known producer Ba Ma Harish and his syndicate who won over the elections of the Karnataka Film Chamber of commerce took the charge from the erstwhile president D R Jairaj on Sunday.
The elections for the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce were held at the Gururaja Kalyana Mantapa in Sheshadripuram in Bangalore on 28th May. Harish won the president post by defeating senior producer and Kannada activist Sa Ra Govindu by 403 votes.
Not only Harish, but most of the members from his syndicate including Jaijagadish, Shilpa Srinivas, Sundar Raj, T P Siddaraju and others have also won and have managed to catch key posts of the KFCC.
The new team took the charge from erstwhile president D R Jairaj and started their duties by first garlanding the Dr Rajkumar’ statue at the KFCC premises.
Speaking to media persons after taking the oath, ‘I have always been serving in various other capacities in KFCC. This time I have got elected as the president and I will work hard to keep up to the expectations of the voters. There is lot of problems in the Kannada film industry which we have to address in the coming days’ said Harish.
