It was Kannadascreens.com that first broke the news that Sathish Neenasam is all set to star in a new film called ‘Ashoka Blade’. Meanwhile, the film was launched on Sunday with P Sheshadri sounding the clap for the first shot of the film.
‘Ashoka Blade’s is said to be based on a true incident which occurred in the 1970s in the old Mysore region. Sathish says the film is all about the fight between traders and workers which got unnoticed in the history books.
Speaking during the occasion, ‘normally many directors narrate come and narrate many stories to me. For the first time, I wanted to act in the film based on this story. I happened to hear news that Dayanand has got a very good story. I read the script and was mesmerized. I wanted to do the film at any cost. This is a big canvas film and the film will have two timelines. The film will be shot in Bangalore, Mumbai, Uttarakhan and other places’ says Sathish.
The shooting for the film has already started and Sathish will be joining the sets in June, once he completes his prior commitments.
‘Ashoka Blade’ is being jointly produced by Vardhan Hari and Sathish Neenasam under Vridhi Creations and Sathish Picture House. The film is being written and directed by Vinod Dhondalay. T K Dayanand has writted the story and screenplay for the film.
The film stars Sathish Neenasam, Kavya Shetty, B Suresh and others in prominent roles. Lavith is the cameraman, while Poonachandra Tejaswi is the cinematographer.
