Sandalwood actor Anish Tejeshwar who was last seen in ‘Ramarjuna’ which was released last year is back with yet another commercial entertainer. This time the film has been titled as ‘Benki’ (Fire) and the film was officially announced on his birthday recently.
‘Benki’ is Anish’s 10th film as an actor and 03rd film as a producer. Earlier, Anish through his production house WinkWhistle Studios had produced ‘Vasu Pakka Commercial’ and ‘Ramarjuna’ under it. Now, he is producing ‘Benki’ which is being directed by A R Shaan, son of late director A R Babu. Shaan has scripted the film apart from directing it.
As the title itself suggests, the film is an out and out commercial venture which explores the emotions of a brother-sister relationship. This is a story set in a rural backdrop and the hero is fondly known as Benki amongst the Villagers.
‘Benki’ was launched last year itself and 70 percent of the shooting is already complete and the makers plan to complete the remaining portions soon. Meanwhile, Anish is planning to release the first teaser of the film in the coming days.
TV actress Sampada Hulivana who played a prominent role in Nikhil Kumar’s ‘Rider’ plays the role of heroine in this film. Apart from Anish and Sampada, Shruti Patil also plays a prominent role in the film. Kaushik Harsha is the music composer, while Venus Nagaraj Murthy is the cinematographer.
‘Benki’ is expected to hit the screens in summer 2022.
