It’s just one week since Upendra starrer ‘Home Minister’ got released across Karnataka. Now the actor is back with another film and this time it’s not a Kannada film, but a Telugu film called ‘Ghani’.

‘Ghani’ is a sports drama based on boxing and stars Varun Tej along with Saiee Manjrekar, Upendra, Jagapathi Babu, Suniel Shetty and others in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Kiran Korrapati.

Upendra plays the role of Vikramaditya, a boxing coach in this film. Though the film was launched in 2020, Upendra joined the production in February 2021. Upendra plays prominent character and is said to be the backbone in the life of Varun Tej in the film.

Upendra has wished the film wins over the audience through his Twitter account. ‘I wish team Ghani packs a powerful punch at the box-office and wins the audience hearts at the theater’ tweeted Upendra. The actor was last seen in Allu Arjun’s ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ which was released in 2015 and Upendra is back in Telugu cinema after a gap of seven years.
