‘Abbabba’ postponed; releasing on a different date

K M Chaitanya’s ‘Abbabba’ which was supposed to release on the 01st of July across Karnataka has been postponed. The new release date of the film is yet to be announced in the coming days.

‘Abbabba’ which is a remake of Malayalam hit ‘Adi Kapyare Kootamani’ is directed by K M Chaitanya and produced by Ann Augustine and Vivek Thomas under Miramar Films. The film was shot after the second lockdown and the film was supposed to release on the 01st of July.

As three more films including Shivarajkumar’s ‘Bhairagee’, Nirup Bhandari’s ‘Window Seat’ and Sathish Neenasam’s ‘Dear Vikram’ (Direct release in Voot Select) are releasing on the same date, the makers of ‘Abbabba’ have decided to avoid a clash and has postponed their film. Karthik Gowda of KRG Connects is releasing the film and the distributor has officially announced the postponement of the film. However, the new date of the film is yet to be announced in the coming days.

‘Abbabba’ revolves around a prestigious boys hostel which is all for centenary celebrations. What happens when a girl is struck in that hostel forms the crux of the film.

Recently actor-director released the trailer of the film. The team of including Chaitanya, Likith Shetty, Amrutha Iyengar and others were present at the occasion. Sudeep apart from releasing it wished the team a great success.

‘Abbabba’ stars Likith Shetty and Amrutha Iyengar of ‘Family Pack’ fame. Ajay Raj, Thandav, Dhanraj, Vijay Chendoor, Sharath Lohitashwa, Avinash and others also play prominent roles in the film. Manohar Joshi is the cinematographer, while Deepak Alexander has composed the music.
